MHFA On The Way!

11/01/2022 9:00 AM | Randy Brush (Administrator)

Educators from each of Indiana’s current 8 PA programs, PA’s chosen by IAPA, as well as currently practicing medical providers from across the state met last week to receive Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor training. I was truly honored to have the opportunity to be involved in this impactful program as the representative for the PA program at which I teach.

Through a generous grant from the Indianapolis Colts Kicking the Stigma campaign and the PA Foundation, our group of certified instructors can now bring this extremely beneficial Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to our communities across the state and to all PA students in our respective programs. With our combined goal of training 2000 individuals in just the first year, stay tuned to IAPA and the PA Foundation for upcoming MHFA classes coming to your community or PA program soon!

You can view a clip of the coverage of the training by the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis:
